Your submission for issue 3 is 1000% one of my favorites in the issue 🥵. What was your thought process behind it?
Thank you so much! The idea came from a mixture of emotions at the time; missing a partner’s touch and longing for a sexual connection. Also, it came from wanting to share more virtual intimacy with my sex work; that seemed like a logical (and fantastical) next step. There’s only so much you can do behind a screen!
How far away do you think we are from the technology in your piece becoming a reality?
I’d give it another 25 years. Though if I had billions of dollars and the ability to focus on a single task, I’d make it tomorrow.
If you had your own comic book series, what would it be called?
I have a few ideas for my own series…but if I were to make one about me? “Seiya Few Words: The Cody Seiya Autobiography”.
Fans of your porn might not know this about you, but you’re also an illustrator/artist! How long have you been illustrating?
The trite response is “since I could pick up a pencil,” though I didn’t get serious until high school and I’m hoping to get serious about it again! It’s something that brings me joy and I love sharing my work with people.
You graduated from New York’s School of Visual Arts in 2020, what’s next for you?
Trying to find the balance between sex work and art work. Both are fun and fulfilling but it can be hard to find the mental + emotional bandwidth to create both.
What are you hungry for?
Self assurance.
What would you want to say to your 10-year-old self?
I’d give myself a hug and say “You’re more than what people expect of you.”
